…discuss ways in which teachers can adjust settings and role permissions when using the Forum Module to promote student peer-to-peer discussion and evaluation. Students will have a different experience of communication depending on which of the several types of forum the teacher chooses for an assignment. Group settings also behave differently depending on the forum type. Examples will be given from English as a Foreign Language classes taught in junior college in Japan.
