Announced recently by the team at MTouch (Moodletouch.com), their efforts are focusing on supporting Moodle 2.0 and making their app universally available for all major phone platforms. Could be one of the first private/paid Moodle mobile apps available universally.
From the announcement,
We are happy to announce that we are prototyping a universal version of mTouch which is intended to work for all mobiles with no server side hacking and no client side installation. Yes that is true, no client side installation will be required for the next generation of mTouch.
If everything goes well we intend to publish the next generation mTouch by the mid of 2011 supporting Moodle 2 as well. [link]
Early protoype of mTouch-U, mTouch for all modern mobile devices, is live at http://mtouch.pragmasql.com
it is gonna be difficult to convince people to put their passwords/login info into a third party site.
Also, your jquerymobile css needs to be updated to alpha 2 to match the alpha 2 js.
Thanks for the feedback.
Our applications mTouch, mTouch+ and mTouch for Windows already use passwords and login info provided by our users and we do not have any issues with their privacy, since mTouch apps do not store login information.
This will be the case for mTouch-U as well, we do not have plans to store moodle credentials of our users in our site/system.
