- Saskatchewan War Memorial, Saskatchewan, Canada [article]: the War Memorial in Saskatchewan has embraced technology (and Moodle) as a way to engage a younger generation. According to the article,
The [new] website has three major components — a search function, a Wiki and a Moodle server…The Moodle server is a tool for educators, where they can create specialized courses or projects for students.
“We, as senior people, quite easily recognize the memorial. We’re textile; we understand the written word. The younger people today, everything is computer,” he explained. “We felt it was really important to link both together.” Goddard said it was important to adopt the technology that younger generations are familiar with to pass the information on.
