4 institutions have gone Moodle recently.  Here’s a recap of the “gone Moodle” activity from this week ending September 17th, 2010.  Where applicable we’ve included a direct link to their shiny new Moodles:

  • Linn Benton Community College [link]: according to their Twitter account, LBCC has migrated 100% from Blackboard finishing a year long process.  We’ve covered some of their great video and training resources in the past.  Check out their Moodle at http://elearning.linnbenton.edu/
  • University of Victoria [link]: UVIC is making a full transition from Blackboard to Moodle and will be discontinuing Bb support in September 2011.  They have a great resource site recently covered at MNs: http://moodlehelp.uvic.ca/.  Check out their Moodle at http://moodle.uvic.ca/
  • Wesleyan University [link]: this Connecticut university is switching to a more cost effective LMS (Moodle) this year, as reported by it’s student newspaper.  The article notes that many of it’s peers have already made the switch.  Check out the Moodle at https://moodle.wesleyan.edu/
  • The University of Montana [link]: recently announced was that UM will be contracting with Moodle Partner Moodlerooms to host their installation.  This comes after a 18 month trial/investigation into various LMSs available.  This comes courtesy of Moodle Buzz (http://moodle.org/mod/data/view.php?d=19)
