A few quick bit’s of information for those of you following the Moodle2.0 release (which is not a officially a beta…yet).

Martin Dougiamas has asked anyone interested in submit their Moodle wishes to the tracker site: http://tracker.moodle.org/

What do you wish for in Moodle2.0?  I’m pretty keen on the feature list that’s been listed thus far on the Moodle.org roadmap for Moodle 2.0 (https://docs.moodle.org/en/Roadmap).  One other cool thing would be a WordPress style theme, plugin and block installer (so that you didn’t need to play with php files.  This would really make things a breeze for trying new features.

Moodle Developer Meeting

Helen Foster has posted to a Moodle forum that there is a Developers meeting this coming Monday (May 10th) at 7pm EST in Elluminate.  This is an opportunity to hear what the progress and plan are for future releases (so if you’re contributing code, or are just curious to know more about what’s happening this is a great opportunity).  More information is available at the thread (http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=148843) or the Developer Meeting page (http://docs.moodle.org/en/Developer_meeting_May_2010).

This Week’s Dev Focus

More information on what’s getting tackled in advanced of the PR2 is available at http://docs.moodle.org/en/Moodle_2.0_Preview_1_release_notes#Development.2FTesting_Focus_for_this_week.21

One exciting bit is that work is continuing on the Community Hub which will enable Moodlers to share and adopt shared courses.
