A few months ago we asked for suggestions of courses that were available and open for download.  The list has been growing steadily and now there are links to over 855 courses that are based in Moodle and available to download and restore to your own site.

  1. I think that’s a matter of opinion. There are many resources that have respective value, just depends on what a teacher is aiming to do. If you’d have put an email or real name, no doubt someone from the Moodle community could step up and help you find an open resource that would be a great foundation for a course.

  2. A Nonny Mouse: The problem is that it is education. Education mostly sucks because raw information is fairly boring without interesting context. Delivering stuff that sucks in a way that makes it suck less is the challenge of teaching. But that’s only half of the problem. The other half is looking at students from the standpoint of teachers. If students don’t give constructive feedback, the teacher can’t build a contextual framework that works for the students.

    So yeah. If your classes suck it’s probably because you sit waiting for magic that is never going to happen.
