Julien Ridden (aka Moodleman) and others are pulling together the first ever, completely virtual Moodle Moot. “iMoot 2010”, as it’s called, will take place online January 7th through the 10th and will feature presentations from around the globe.
Presenters will engage participants online using webinar based software (to be determined), sessions will most likely be recorded and available for viewing after the fact.
From the site:
With only a couple of months left until iMoot2010 commences we are trying to finalise the program and still have a few spots open. Many have expressed interest, so now is the time we need you to submit those proposals. To add an incentive we have decided put all submissions into a draw to win 3 Packt Publishing Moodle books of their choice (Printable PDF versions). All existing submissions are already listed in the draw. So if you can share a case study, product knowledge or just your experiences, click on this link to add your submissions now. If you have issues submitting your presentations, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Submissions are all recorded using the Moodle database module (it’s quite a nifty example of it’s usage). You must register before making a submission.
Current proposals include: highlights and demonstrations of Moodle2.0 features, Moodle in enterprise, SCORM, and trust building in online classrooms (to name a few).
